Rockstar Hid 8 Seconds of New GTA 6 Gameplay on Its Own Website

Blink and you missed it

Lost in the noise of the cover art reveal and pre-order announcement, Rockstar quietly did something it almost never does: it dropped brand-new gameplay. Not in a trailer. Not in a press release. As a small, scrollable clip tucked into its refreshed GTA VI website.

It runs about eight seconds. It can't be paused or viewed fullscreen. And fans have already torn it apart frame by frame.

What's in those 8 seconds

The clip is an aerial sweep over Vice City, in the state of Leonida, at sunset — the first new footage since Trailer 2. According to analysis by Rockstar Intel, it runs at 4K, 30FPS, the frame rate expected on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The eagle-eyed crowd spotted:

• Seven aircraft in the sky at once, hinting at busy, living airspace
• Parallax interiors — windows that show real 3D depth behind them instead of flat textures, a clear leap over GTA V

Why it matters

It's a tiny tease, but a meaningful one. Parallax interiors and dense ambient air traffic point to the next-gen detail Rockstar has been promising for years. With pre-orders opening June 25, expect every frame Rockstar releases from here to get this same forensic treatment.
