Sixteen days to go. Here's everything that moved in GTA 6 news since yesterday, each with how much you should trust it.
1. GTA 6 reportedly needs PS5 firmware 14.22
Likely
PlayStation Store data shared by the PlayStation Game Size account now lists system software 14.22.00.00 as the minimum for GTA 6, up from 14.10 in October. Sony's update page confirms 14.22 is the newest PS5 version and says it contains security fixes. Neither Sony nor Rockstar has confirmed the requirement, but it looks aimed at jailbroken consoles. What it means and how to update.
2. Photos of the GTA 6 Nike sneakers
Rumor
The black pair of the leaked Travis Scott x Rockstar Games Air Force 1 Low showed up on November 2: reverse Swoosh, pink toe trim, six wanted-level stars. Leaks say three colorways at $130 each, out November 19. Nike, Rockstar and Cactus Jack haven't said a word. Colorways and style codes.
3. A Walmart pre-order surprise
Rumor
An image shared on X shows a Walmart "surprise and delight offer" for qualifying Xbox and PS5 pre-orders of GTA 6, packed in a single bag. What's inside is a mystery, and Walmart hasn't confirmed it. RockstarINTEL notes Walmart's Switch 2 launch bag held a snack and a drink, so don't expect an exclusive in-game item. The Vintage Vice City Pack is still the bonus everyone gets, wherever they buy. Pre-order bonuses compared.
4. Take-Two's earnings call is November 9
Confirmed
Take-Two will report results on Monday, November 9, after the US market closes, with a call at 4:30 p.m. Eastern. It's the last investor update before launch, so listen for a sales target or any word on a PC version. A correction: our October 30 roundup said the date wasn't announced yet. Take-Two had announced it on October 13.
5. Rockstar UK staff vote on a union during launch week
Confirmed
The IWGB union says Rockstar's UK staff will vote from November 12 to November 26 on whether the studio should formally recognize the Rockstar Game Workers Union. The deal would give staff a say on pay, overtime, layoffs and AI policy. Separately, closing arguments in the tribunal over 31 workers fired in October 2025 are expected on November 17 and 18.
